SPICY! This book made me want to fan myself. It's certainly one of the spicier ones I've read. But it's not just about smut; the plot... wow... it was an emotional roller coaster with a very realistic portrayal of anxiety and depression. The soulmate trope was brilliantly written. With the actual issues that the couple faced, it felt real.

Summary from Publisher:

Pink and Country is an emotional soulmates romance about a broody music superstar hiding in a cabin in the Tennessee mountains to escape the press and the colorful and sassy girl living next door, who’ll get under his skin in every possible way.

Carter Hills is my moody and hot-as-hell country music star new neighbor.

How I didn’t recognize him when I rented the cabin next to his for a month is still a mystery. Yeah, I bet he had a great time messing with me on purpose. And disrupting all my plans.

The guy is not only Nashville’s most eligible bachelor, but he’s a pain in my a**. Worse, he’s acting like he knows better. But he is about to discover I can master that game too. I’m not some innocent damsel in distress. I can definitely take care of myself.

My heart rate picks up every time we’re together, but it doesn’t matter, his attitude should be enough to ward me off him. But still, the more I get to know him, the closer I want to get.

Despite our banter, Carter is always coming back for more, and my month-long retreat isn’t going as expected.

Should I push him away, or should I indulge in the fire searing between us and risk being burned?

We follow the journey of these incredible soulmates. Angsty but beautiful. I loved watching these two mature and fall in love with one another. I also love the banter, the tension, and THE SONG! That was my favorite scene, *melting*.

The only thing that bothered me were a few chapters that felt slow, even though it still made me curious. I feel there should be a part that can be skipped.

But overall, I felt pink! I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series. Thank you for reaching me out, Emmanuelle.

"It’s okay to be scared. Just don’t be scared alone."

"Life has hurt us both. I’m tired of wasting mine. Life’s too short to not chase after what we want. I’m all in."

" You once told me I showed you what passion was. I’m telling you today you’ve shown me what living should be."
