This month I read quite a lot of books, 11 in total. Mostly romance, but there is 1 fantasy and the unexpected, 1 thriller. Not all have detailed reviews because I just started this blog in mid-August, but of course, all have star ratings. I don't like having to force reviews now for those books because I feel like reviewing a book is better when I've just finished reading it. It will be fresh, more in line with my reading mood at that time. I plan to reread the books I like and try to review them in the near future.
Now, for my first monthly wrap-up, I'm going to dump all the beans in this post, from books I enjoyed to the ones that I thought were mediocre. I didn't hate any of the books, I just didn't think they were for me.

Book Lovers by Emily Henry
I can probably say this is the best read of 2022 until now. I love Charlie Lastra! He's the best guy! Hail Emily Henry!

People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
Cute Friends-to-Lovers story who traveled together. The slow burn hooked me. It's a fun read.

The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas
The slow burn, enemies to lovers, and fake dating tropes work really well in this story. Aaron Blackford, you're the man!

Someone Else's Life by Lyn Liao Butler
ARC - will be published on February 1st, 2023.
Someone Else's Life is a psychological thriller that will have you second-guessing yourself at every turn. I had many alternatives for the ending in my head but nothing was correct. I was mind blown.

A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3) by Sarah J. Maas
I loved the continuation of their story and how they realized the importance of family. I LOVE RHYSAND!! I need this man in my life! Lots of great moments that trigger emotions, but the storyline was very slow. I wanted to skip a lot of pages while reading it but I was afraid I would miss something.

Under One Roof (The STEMinist Novellas #1) by Ali Hazelwood
This was a quick and light read. I partly listened to the audiobook and partly read the e-book. The audiobook narrative was fun, but it didn't make up for the lack of conflict. The plot felt a little bland, maybe because it's a novella. But the warm and funny moments made it better. Overall, this was a quick feel-good read to pass the time.

No Offense (Little Bridge Island #2) by Meg Cabot
I quite liked it but it wasn’t great. The banter between Molly and John was endearing. The story has a mystery premise that kept me turning the pages, but the ending felt a little flat.

The Unbalanced Equation by H.L. Macfarlane
ARC - will be published on September 15th, 2022.
This book was a fun and quick read that kept me hooked with lots of cute-funny moments for the first half. The other half was average. The writing style was easy to follow.

The White Coat Diaries by Madi Sinha
ARC - will be published on September 15th, 2022.
Respect to anyone who pursues their dream of becoming a doctor. This book clearly opens our eyes to the difficulty of the journey. We can see the bittersweet they tasted through Norah's journey. This was a mind-opening story, a deep one, but not for everyone.

No Words (Little Bridge Island #3) by Meg Cabot
It was OK but I found the chemistry a bit meh and I'm not a fan of Insta-love, so yeah... I didn't enjoy it as much as others.
